Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the birthplace of Dr. Clark who grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, but settled in Knoxville in 1979. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1969, from Duke University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree in 1974, and from the University of Tennessee with a Masters of Public Health and Safety degree in 1984. He received his medical degree from Spartan Health Sciences University in St. Lucia, West Indies in 1994 and completed a three year Internal Medicine Residency at the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Dr. Clark is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and joined Concord Medical Center in September 1997. Married to the former Jane Cox of Kingsport, Tennessee, with three children; he enjoys tennis and water sports.
